The Physics Bank

Cookie Notice

Effective 19 July 2026 | Version 1.1

This notice describes the cookies and similar browser storage used by the current Physics Bank learner website. The active site does not use advertising or behavioural analytics cookies.

Essential account storage

When you sign in, Supabase stores an authentication session token in your browser's local storage. The storage key is generated for the connected Supabase project. It keeps you signed in, refreshes your authenticated session and helps restrict account data to you.

This storage is necessary for the signed-in service you request. It remains until you sign out, the session expires or you clear the site's browser storage. Blocking it will prevent account sign-in and saved learner features from working.

First-party funnel measurement

The limited acquisition funnel described in our Privacy Notice does not set an analytics cookie, local-storage identifier or advertising identifier. It records defined server-side events and URL campaign parameters without an IP address, fingerprint or long-lived anonymous visitor ID.

Because this feature does not place or read non-essential browser storage, it does not change the necessary-only storage posture described in this notice.

Checkout and external resources

  • Stripe's hosted checkout may use its own security, fraud-prevention and payment cookies on Stripe's website. Stripe controls that checkout environment.
  • Google Fonts receives a normal network request for font files when pages load. We do not use that request for advertising or behavioural analytics.
  • The hosting environment may receive limited error diagnostics when a page fails. The application does not use local storage or cookies to build a behavioural profile for this purpose.

Why there is no consent banner

The current application uses only storage required to provide requested account, security and payment functions. It does not load optional analytics, advertising or social-media trackers. A consent banner would therefore offer no optional category to accept or reject. If non-essential technology is introduced, it must be blocked until an appropriate consent choice is made and this notice must be updated.

Your controls

Signing out ends the active account session. You can also remove site data through your browser settings, but doing so will sign you out. Browser privacy controls may also restrict third-party storage on Stripe's checkout page; this can affect payment completion.
